Little luxuries in Taipei...

I've missed bathtubs. Myra and I were delighted to find that our hotel room had a bathtub, complete with jets! Ahhh.....

Raspberry smoothie with banana ice-cream. Yum!

National Palace Museum. I wasn't able to take pictures of the inside, but this is part of the outside. It was rather fascinating and I particularly appreciated seeing the "treasures of ancient China"; things that date to 4,000 BC! I really enjoyed seeing all the pottery and the development of various forms.

Ah, spring is here! I love the trees in bloom. They've done an especially nice job with the foliage around the train station.

Here comes our train! Off to Taipei we go! :)

Last weekend Myra and I went to Taipei. Here I am waiting for the bus...
We had a lovely relaxing weekend eating western food and visiting the National Palace Museum. More pictures coming!!

I love cellists, too!

We are in the middle of a rather huge Taiwan Lantern Festival held this year just a few blocks away from my house. I've taken some pictures, which I'll hopefully post here over the next few days; here's one interesting "lantern" that made me think of all the wonderful cellists in my life!
